Interview with a UK patient receiving Dental Implant Treatment
When Graham Neale arrived at or clinic in Budapest, it was clear he had major dental problems. All of his remaining decaying teeth required extraction and a plan was drawn up to restore his smile and give him function using implant supported dentures.
In his own words Graham reviews his treatment and experiences as he underwent dental treatment abroad for the first time at Kreativ Dental Clinic.
"My teeth had been bad for some time, I had a lot of extractions over the years and I knew implants are what I needed. I realised my teeth were never going to get any better and I had heard that Hungary was good for dental care".
"I went to a local implant hospital just up the road from me and I had a consultation there then came out here (Hungary) for a consultation. The quotation I was given in the UK was pretty much a mortgage! So, in a way my arm was being bent to look elsewhere, knowing that there could be somewhere that was cheaper".
"The word of mouth was very important, really important, it doesn't matter what you read you still think it's an advert you're reading, so word of mouth was very important. It wasn't someone I directly knew who had come here so I still need to do a bit of homework hence the internet was very very useful".
You can see from the building it's state of the art, I haven't been in the lab yet but you can tell it is state of the art.
"My first visit was for a week and during that time I had extractions and temporaries fitted. Today I'm having a plate fitted and impressions taken for the implant supported dentures which are being made for me".
"Originally I had the fear that you would be on the phone ringing somebody in Hungary and they wouldn't understand a word that you said and there would be a communication problem, but as soon as you get the information online and they have a UK office, so they have a representative here that can give you all the advice you need at anytime. Once you get back home if you have a long period between treatments you can always contact the UK office and there is always somebody there to give you advice or allay any fears".
"I'd say don't worry about it at all, just do it!"
Graham has recently finished his treatment with us and we were really pleased to receive this email from his wife.
